27 official complaints on Fala Chen's bra scene; Producer Amy Wong responds

The Broadcast Authority (BA) received 26 complaints on Fala Chen's "take off clothes and showing bra" scene; TVB received 1 complaint.

Although TVB had a complaint that the scene was not appropriate to be broadcast on television, but there are also supporters saying that the scene was reasonable and went along with the story. In the series, Fala misunderstood that Timmy Hung was gay, therefore it was reasonable that Fala treated him as a brother and does not need to avoid him while changing.

"The Stew of Life" Producer Amy Wong felt surprised by audience complaints. She said that Fala's changing scene does not intend to convey bad or immoral behavior, the public is just overreacting. Amy also expressed that there is no difference if they changed the setting to a beach where swimsuits are revealed before they get into the water.

Amy expressed that before doing this scene, she had done all her research. Gay men treat their opposite sex friends like sisters. The scene was arranged for this series because it is a comedy and should have some comedic effect. In the series, Fala misunderstood that Timmy is gay, the two become close friends. Amy understands that parents are worried, thinking that the scene should teach little girls how to protect themselves instead, but the series did display a "PG" rating before the episode started. Parents can still explain to their children on the actual content.

If they really want something good for their kids.
There are bigger problems like Drugs problems.
Recently there were testing done showing students have at least 5 different type of drugs in them.
Yes changing in front of people are not a good thing to do.
But theses are common sense. it won't have a bad influence on little kids.

TheTruthLies: Are these people for real? If they are so worried about it being bad for their kids, maybe they shouldn't watch TV and do something else that is more productive. Geez... I'm sure the kids have seen way worse. People need to stop being stuck in the past That is nothing compared to what they show here in the States.

im saying who cares what fala did.  it is normal, and we have all seen fala in a bikini. so I dont see what the big deal is.  just keep supporting fala and ignore the bad news and hope that people will ignore this matter and like Fala for who she is and for her talents.

maybe fala made a bad decision agreeing to show her bra, but, its her job, she is an actress, she needs to do what she is told to do to be professional.  as long as she doesn't film porn. if she doesnt do it and complains, then she is not a professional. did she know she might get the bad critisim from audience n fans? maybe.. but, shes an actress and people should criticize her for her acting.  not something that was written in the script.  can you tell your boss no? it is TVBs' fault. not Fala. I dont know why people are complaining about Fala.
i say we fully support fala for being brave and hope that this incident will be over soon and people will forget it.
It took a lot of work for the audience to like Fala again after her series "steps" with steven ma, and just because of one incident, they start disliking her again.  Poor Fala.

Yea, it's totally not entirely Fala's fault. She has no say in rejecting the scenes and the roles. If the parents complained about that, then why dont they complain about the beauty pageants as well? Since practically those contestants have to wear those bikini.

And I totally didnt like the way they made it sound like Fala's bra scene was to pull up ratings and therefore she has to film it.

what about Christine Ng? how come no body complained about her when she wore her bikini in the beach/wind surfing scene?? It was just the same as Fala showing her bra la...
it is not fair to fala. but, it doesn't matter, because we will still support her
i just hope she isnt feeling too unhappy about all of the bad complaints. hope she knows that we still support her!!!
