Fala Chen intimate scenes with Steven Ma, full of laughters
In "The Legend of Su SongLing", Fala Chen plays a Fox goddess, the male lead often comes to her rescue, in the end they developed a "human-fox" love relationship. They were filming for a scene where they first met, Fala hung on many wires, quite difficult for her while filming. This is the first time Fala and Steven Ma collaborated as a couple, Fala frankly said that filming intimate scenes is just full of laughters and there is no awkward feelings.作者: changbo 时间: 2009-6-5 15:42:27

Fala Chen a little fox spirit that cross dressed as a man and teases girls
Thursday, June 11, 2009 | | |
Fala Chen plays a little fox spirit called Siu Chui in new TVB series "The Legend of Pu Songling". But she isn't a fox spirit that seduces men, rather a gullible and playful one. She repays Pu Songling's (Steven Ma) family for their kindness. She even cross dressed as a man that made Ma Ping Ting (Katy Kung) fall in love with her.
Cross dressing was fun
As well as playing a fox spirit, Fala dressed up as a man for the first time. She said "In the series I am curious about the human world and wanted to go there to play. That’s why I disguised myself as a man to deceive and bypass my fox spirit grandfather in order to enter the human world. I was not aware of human manners and started to tease the girls around me. I even gave Katy Kung a fan which she thought was a love token and fell in love with me. I think cross dressing as a guy is quite fun. You don’t have to pay too much attention on your hairstyle or clothing as a girl would. Sometimes I would forget to lower the tone of my voice and end up not sounding like a guy".
Beautiful and Charming
Before filming the series Fala watched several animal documentaries about foxes. She hopes to give her character a realistic fox feel. "Siu Chui just began to change into human form and still maintains the animal nature. Before I filmed the series, I watched animal documentaries about foxes and paid particular attention to their expressions. When I started shooting I added expressions to my role such as scratching my ears". As the storyline develops she starts to understand human nature. Later on the Nine Tailed Fox teaches her how to seduce men. Each stage of this character requires a different approach in interpretation.
Human and Fox Love
Pu Songling's father is played by Elliot Yue. His character is the one that releases the fox Siu Chui back into the wild. Siu Chui returns to repay his kindness and even saves his son Song Puling when he nearly died at birth.
Brother and Sister
Due to not being afraid of heights, Fala didn’t have problems with wire work. Neither did she find portraying a guy that difficult. The only thing that she had trouble with was the awkwardness in shooting intimate scenes with Steven Ma. She said "I know Steven very well. We worked together in "Steps" and "A Journey called Life". I played his sister in both series. As the storyline develops about Siu Chui falling in love with Pu Songling I felt a little awkward in shooting those scenes. I needed time to adapt to it".
